Santa Ana, California, Dec 30, 2011 - WebMux Provides SSL Termination for Google Chrome Browser.

CAI Networks announced a new firmware release 8.7.9p5 that supports SSL termination for Google Chrome browser in addition to all other browsers. WebMux has been providing SSL termination for all other browsers for many years. Recently, Google Chrome browser enabled an additional feature to speed up SSL communication. Most network equipment providing SSL termination can not handle this new feature. WebMux load balancer can handle this new browser feature with firmware 8.7.09p5 release. In addition, it will support upcoming Microsoft Security Bulletin MS12-006 (security patch KB2585542).

WebMux provides sophisticated SSL traffic management features. Not only does it allow the use of 1024 and 2048 bit SSL keys to SSL terminate the traffic, but also allow client side SSL verification. It also allows up to 100 SSL certificates per device. When load balancing L7 traffic, SSL termination is a must have feature. SSL handshaking is a slow process. To speed up this process, Google invented a special feature in its Chrome Browser. CAI Networks immediate provides support for such a feature. Customers with valid support contracts can get firmware update free of charge.

WebMux, a full feature, IPV6 ready load balancing and application delivery controller, is one of the first such devices in the industry. Since its initial development in 1997, WebMux has undergone tremendous enhancements in functionality and performance. It has seen wide use and continued usage by governments, militaries, businesses, universities, and other services throughout the world. WebMux is a solution certified by both Microsoft® and Oracle®. WebMux is offered by many ISPs as a hosting option and sold through resellers worldwide.
